I watched Moon tonight, it was brilliant. The short film "Whistle" on the DVD extras was also pretty good.

I like your tricycle.

I don't think its far off from being a decent film, but it just made me feel bad for David Foley
I watched 4 Lions the other night, its pretty good, subtly quite funny even if it didn't really make me laugh. Not sure how many Muslims will watch it, but there's a lot of jokes that only they will get

I didnt mean that quite as absolute as it might have sounded. Basically I was toying with taking it into work and seeing if any of the muslim lads there wanted a lend, because they'd get more of it than i would, but I think it might be a hard sell.
Especially if i just go up to them and say "I've got this film about suicide bombers you might be interested in..."

Just watched The Departed. Thought it was excellent, maybe top 10 films I've watched. There is a really good doc on the MEGABLURAZOR that looks at the coparisions between Jack Nicholson character and James 'whitey' Bulger who ran the Irish Mob in Boston. Its basically based on him in all but name even though its adapted from Internal Affairs.
i watched that last night, been meaning to watch it for ages, it was really good, couldn't watch any fancy documentories though as i videoed it off the tv last week.

Continuing my revenge theme after Harry Brown, I watched Dead Man's Shoes tonight. Although I'm a big fan of Shane Meadows work, for some reason I'd never watched it before. Needless to say, it was as great as all his other stuff. Paddy Constantine is genuinely frightening in it. Nice little twist at the end as well.
Next on the revenge list is "Once Upon A Time In The West".

Watched Scott Pilgrim and like Jimbo, i think i hyped it so much for myself and it just became a let down. So much from the books were missing. Just small bits like talking about the X on Scott's coat, being called Rammy, Gideon the cat etc. The was definately different from others but still bit disappointed

I watched 28 Weeks Later this morning and quite enjoyed it.
It did have about a million flaws in it though. Kids who go out of their way to progress the plot? Check!
Idiot man who tags along so that he can die in a spectacular fashion later on? Check!
Smart arse man who goes out of his way to create problems that have simpler solutions than the way he tackles them? Check!
To be frank, the story was a bit shit, but you need a vehicle of some sort to make a film about zombies travel, they can't do it on their own, so shit story is to be expected.
I'd like to see a 3rd and final film topping off with a conclusion. Doesn't even have to be a happy ending, I am easy like that.

I watched Kick-Ass over the past couple of nights - really enjoyed it. Hit Girl was great and I even liked Nicholas Cage in it - I have an unnatural hatred of him. I liked the way he used the Batman voice when in costume
The changes from the novel weren't too bad either altho they should have left the bit in about the girl dropping him after she found out he wasnt really gay.

I watched The Departed recently as well, it must be in the air (or on Sky). It taught me never, ever to trust trailers ever again. The trailer for The Departed made it look utter shit (IMO) but the film was awesome. Leo!
Also watched The Expendables on Sunday. Like The A Team, if you go into the cinema expecting nothing you will come out pleasantly surprised. Some of the deaths were superLOL.
Devil looks good, i like a bit of M.Night Shamalymalamyamalam.

I too saw 'The Expendables' last week... I wasn't expecting it to be a comedy.
Also, I'm not a fan of M.Night Shamy's stuff, but yeah, 'Devil' definitely looked interesting...
Watched 'Four Lions' over the weekend... laughed a couple of times, but mostly it felt just plain stupid...
