Haven't updated this for a few weeks... I've been working through some of my 'pile of shame'...
Half-Life 2 [360]
My 2nd play-through (originally completed it on PC back in 2004 at time of release)
I don't think it's aged much at all, and I'd forgotten how fucking
long epic it is! (or maybe that's just me?) Still one of my top 10 games of all time!
Dante's Inferno [360]
Great art & concept, pretty decent combat, a couple of fun bosses, a few annoying 'timed puzzles', a shedload of crappy 'swingy-rope' sections and a muthaload of QTEs that got right on my tits...
Halo 3 [360] (Solo on Heroic)
Started a solo playthru on Legendary back in 2008, and got bored with it after a couple of chapters (probably due to 'Co-op'ing most of the game out-of-sequence upon release).
Anyway, I finally decided to go back and finish the last two thirds (on Heroic for quickness), and damn well enjoyed it - much more than H1 or 2... Even 'The Flood' weren't that annoying this time around!
The Darkness [360]
Wasn't sure if I could be bothered with it after the first hour, mainly because of the crappy gun-fights/aiming & irritating loading cutscenes, but I persisted due to a vague interest in the comics. Though it certainly gets better as you progress & 'power up', the highlight, by far, was Mike Patton as the voice of The Darkness. I kept pressing the 'powers' buttons in the subways just to hear him say something awesome!
